About Seasonal Charters

Year-Round Adventure on Florida’s West Coast

Fishing in Florida is anything but predictable—and that’s a good thing. As the seasons shift, so do the species and the techniques. Whether you’re chasing kingfish in spring, tarpon in summer, or relaxing on the flats in fall, every time of year offers a unique experience on the water.

Fall Fishing

(September-November)

Mackerel, Kingfish & Redfish Action

Fall is flexible—it can be laid-back or adrenaline-pumping. Nearshore waters are alive with migrating kingfish and Spanish mackerel, making it the perfect time to troll or chum for fast-paced action.

Prefer a slower pace? Sight fishing for redfish on shallow grass flats during low tide is as peaceful as it is rewarding.

Top Targets:

  • Kingfish, Spanish Mackerel (nearshore options)
  • Redfish (inshore options)

Winter Fishing

(December-February)

Challenging Weather, Rewarding Catches

Winter days can be hit or miss with the wind, but when conditions are right, the fishing can be incredible. On calm days, we head up to 9 miles offshore to chase snapper, grouper, cobia, and hogfish. When it’s windier or you’d prefer to stay closer, inshore trips focus on snook, trout, redfish, and sheepshead.

Top Targets:

  • Snapper, Grouper & Tripletail (nearshore options)
  • Snook, Redfish, Trout, Sheepshead (inshore options)

Spring Fishing

(March-April)

The Waters Warm, the Bite Turns On

Spring marks the start of serious movement. Fish begin leaving their winter hideouts in canals and creeks, heading to the flats and open waters. Tarpon start to show, and kingfish, cobia, black drum, mackerel, and sharks become increasingly active.

Top Targets:

  • Snook, Redfish, Trout (inshore options)
  • Early-season Tarpon
  • Kingfish, Mackerel, Cobia & Bonito (nearshore options)
  • Black Drum & Sharks (inshore options)
